INFRATEL Communications provides
telephone service providers with unique outside plant
enclosures designed for rapid, economical deployment
of broadband Fiber-to-the Node and electronic equipment.
The RetroNODE™ product
line is a unique integrated cabinet that transforms
existing cross-connect sites into broadband Nodes.
This patent-pending solution consists of a cross-connect
(SAI) compartment together with a sealed GR-487 compliant
electronics chamber for DSLAMS, Broadband Loop Carrier
shelves, fiber optic interfaces, or other electronics
equipment. The RetroNODE™
may be used for both "greenfield" as well
as "brownfield" deployments, eliminating the
need for adding additional cabinets and their associated
construction costs. This novel approach makes it faster,
less expensive and intrusive for service providers to
locate broadband equipment at the cross-connect site,
within several thousand feet of the end user.
